Having helped produce jazz festivals in Baltimore City, Washington, D.C., and Anne Arundel County, Annapolis jazz vocalist Theresa Sise returns to centerstage backed by Sweet Tea, consisting of some of the region’s top musicians.

Under the theme of “Everybody’s Crying Mercy,” the show includes a diverse range of entertainment: nostalgic fall chestnuts like “September in the Rain,” topical tunes addressing our shared experiences (“Give Me the Simple Life”), social satire from Mose Allison (“Everybody’s Crying Mercy” and “Your Mind is on Vacation”), and a bit of inspiration from the beloved Muppet Movie classic, “Rainbow Connection.”

Theresa Sise, who has performed throughout the region with small combos and big bands, always leaves her audiences entertained, amused, and hopeful for smoother sailing in days ahead.

Sweet Tea includes sought-after players from both sides of the Bay Bridge: drummer Frank Russo, bassist Max Murray, and pianist Darius Scott.
