The Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center is proud to present a unique fundraising event in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month 2021 titled “Nuestras Raíces (Our Roots)”. The program will focus on three families from Latin America who will present their stories through story books that they wrote accompanied with illustrations by the children in their family. Each family has a unique story about their life abroad, their journey to America, and their life here in Easton Maryland. Signed copies of each book will be available after the show for donors and contributors to the Multicultural Center.
Javier Bustamante, Director of the Center for Cultural Engagement at The Catholic University of America, will provide a keynote address on the importance of Hispanic Heritage Month, and Tori Gomez will preform a special musical number for the event.
