Join Lucy Woodward and her trio for this special evening celebrating the release of her long-awaited new solo album, “Til They Bang on the Door.”
For this release, she’s paired up with an all-star recording cast featuring co-producer Michael League (Snarky Puppy) and co-producer/ keyboardist extraordinaire Henry Hey (David Bowie, George Michael), among others, to infuse a fresh R&B/pop flavor to her jazzy background and incredibly sultry vocals.
Woodward brings quite an eclectic depth of musical experience to this latest effort, having toured as a band member filling in for the lead singer of Pink Martini and recording with heavy-hitters like Rod Stewart, Celine Dion, Carole King, and Joe Cocker. Her songs and vocals have also been heard in movies including “What a Girl Wants”, “The Blind Side”, and “Ice Princess”, featuring the Betty Hutton/Bjork classic “It’s Oh So Quiet."
“On her fourth studio album, 2016’s ‘Til They Bang on the Door’, she moves away from the urbane jazz and Baroque soundscape of 2010's ‘Hooked!’, and digs into an earthy blues and R&B vibe.” Allmusic.com
