Arlo Guthrie Re:Generation

Arlo Guthrie Re: Generation
Thursday, October 26, 2017
Doors: 7:30 p.m.; Show: 8 p.m.
Avalon Theatre $100/80/50
Arlo Guthrie’s father Woody hoped one day to have enough kids to form a family band, traveling the country and singing their songs together – Generations.
Arlo’s Re:Generation tour fulfills Woody’s hope, capturing the spirit of an American family making music together.
Looking back on his life, Arlo recalls, “I have successfully foiled every opportunity to be somebody in the entertainment industry. I've done about 30 records, a few motion pictures, a TV series, books for little kids, started a few recording and production companies and two not-for-profit foundations. I've been in jail and I've been in love. I've spent over 40 years on the road discovering the rest of humanity and I'm still not proud or tired.”
Now joined by his children Abe and Sarah Lee, Arlo embarks on a new musical trip certain to be a flashback-inducing, mind-expanding show, honoring the roots of the past while nurturing the seeds of a promising future.
“The road continues to beckon,” Arlo opines, “and the kids, with kids of their own, are hearing the call of their own thoughts. Onward!”
